STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS

IEEE Malaysia ComSoc/VTS joint chapter offers a limited number of student travel grants to students who have registered and co-authored an accepted paper in the ISTT 2024 conference, on a competitive basis.

Applicant Eligibility:

  1. The student applicant must be a student member of the IEEE Malaysia ComSoc/VTS.
  2. The student applicant must be a co-author of an accepted paper in ISTT 2024 conference and present it at the conference in person.
  3. The student applicant must be a full-time student registered toward a Bachelor’s, Masters’, or PhD degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field in a college or university when submitting their applications.

Required documents for ISTT students Travel Grant:

  1. Proof of IEEE Malaysia ComSoc/VTS student membership
  2. Student’s up-to-date CV / Resume. This document should include citizenship, study level (undergraduate or graduate) and list of publications.
  3. Advisor Supporting Letter. This is a reference letter from the student’s advisor. We ask that the advisor confirm that the student has full-time status and is in good academic standing at the given institution.
  4. Student Statement Letter. Certify that he/she will present the paper at the conference.

A student who is awarded a student grant must register, attend and present the paper at the conference. The grant is applicable for travelling from local point of departure to Langkawi, Malaysia, for ISTT2024 only. Please submit all the required documents through EDAS by October, 1st 2024. More details will be provided to the students who are selected to receive the Student Travel Grant award.
